Ceramics, Handmade

Handmade ceramics are having a moment, there’s no doubt about it. Probably partially because they look so damn good on Instagram. But, we love them because you can feel the love and care put into them; they take time to make, require skill and a lot of patience. They are also good for the environment as they are sustainably made from just dirt and water. Which is exactly why we wanted to feature ceramics as part of our conscious entertaining series with Feast it Forward.

Lindsey, from Wheel Ceramic, is a maker, such a lovely soul, and the star of our video. She started working in clay as a relaxing outlet from her other business, Stanley and Sons that she runs with her husband. Together her and her husband make very cool aprons and bags in the basement of their Long Island home. Wheel Ceramic is just hers though, and you can see in this video how much she cherishes what she does.

Hopefully this video inspires you to seek out your local makers and support them. And trust us, beauty foods taste best in something beautiful.

Watch the full episode on the Feast it Forward network, and check out our last video about creating an ethical floral arrangement.

Special thanks to Feast it Forward!
