Jenna’s Smoothie

There’s something extremely charming about Jenna Levine. And not just because she happens to be the Founder of the super chic skincare line, LINNÉ Botanicals, but because she so deeply cares about healthy living. It is who she is.

It’s part of her background. Her mom was a whole foods chef and she learned from an early age about the value of a diet rich in produce as a form of preventative medicine. She isn’t dogmatic, she just believes in the power of plants. Working with plants has been a major part of her career and educational history and she certainly incorporates her love for healthy living into many of her hobbies. When she lived in the Bay Area, she would grocery shop and regularly swap smoothie recipes with people she met in the aisles. She is a major plant enthusiast.

We had to find out what makes her glow. And this ‘cup of life’ elixir, my friends, is certainly one way to get your glow on from the inside out…

Jenna is a busy person and she lives a very active life so she relies on these types of elixirs to keep her energized all day. These superfood packed ‘cups of life’ have replaced her morning cup of coffee. And there is no wonder why, they are packed with nutrient dense ingredients that keep the mind, body and soul satisfied and nourished. A lot of the ingredients she uses are adaptogenic and help the body adapt to stress and change.

“A morning smoothie is a great way to pack in a lot of nutrition easily, quickly and on a daily basis. Once a week is better than nothing, but if possible, try to take body supporting herbs and superfoods daily. It’s certainly better to introduce small amounts of plant information regularly and over time than in heaping amounts just once in a while. We want to give our bodies a balanced variety of nutrients and allow our bodies to evolve with tonic herbs. As long as your source is good quality, and unadulterated, you should observe a shift towards better energy, improved immunity, reduced inflammation, regular digestion, and clear, glowing skin.” – Jenna

Cashew Turmeric Nut Milk

Serves 6

  • 1 cup of raw Cashews
  • 2 cups of Water
  • 2 knobs of raw Turmeric
  • Optional: Cinnamon, Dates or Grade B Maple Syrup


Soak cashews in water for 4 hours or overnight. You don’t have to, to but soaking removes enzyme inhibitors, improves digestibility and nutrient bioavailability, and helps everything blend more easily. Rinse thoroughly and drain. Add to vitamix or blender. Add water to cover the cashews (If you like thicker smoothies add less water). Should you like, add some sweetness: cinnamon, dates or Grade B Maple Syrup little by little to your desired taste. Peel raw turmeric. Add to blender and blend until smooth

Cup of Life

Serves 3

  • 1 cup of Cashew Nut Milk (ingredients and process above)
  • 1 Mango
  • 1/2 Papaya
  • 1 cup of frozen fruit – Health Berry Blend (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 3 tbsp (1 per serving) BrainOn E3 Live – Liquid Blue green algae
  • 1 cup of Coconut Water
  • 3 tbsp (1 per person) Spirulina aka “Spiritulina”
  • 3 tbsp (1 per person) Gelatinized Maca
  • 3 tbsp (1 per person) Moringa leaf powder
  • 3 tbsp (1 per person) Chlorella Powder
  • 3 tbsp (1 per person) Shelled raw Hemp seeds
  • 3 tbsp (1 per person) Raw cacao nibs
  • 1 knob of raw ginger


Remove skin from mango. Add to vitamix or blender. Cut papaya in half, remove seeds and skin – cut and add to vitamix. Add frozen fruit mix. Add coconut water. “This is when things get freaky” says Jenna. Add Blue Green Algae (E3 Live), add Spirulina, add Maca, add Moringa leaf powder, add Chlorella powder, add hemp seeds, add raw cacao nibs, add raw ginger. Blend until smooth. Add more coconut water or pure, filtered water as needed. Pour into three cups & enjoy with friends!

Ingredient Glossary

Cashews- Loaded with minerals and good fats that are great for the brain, skin, hair and bones.

Turmeric- Invigorates and cleanses the blood and liver. Incredible inflammatory, antibacterial and antiseptic.

Mango- Loaded with antioxidants. The content of carotenes helps to clears the skin and improve eye health.

Papaya – Also contains the digestive enzyme papain, carotenes and vitamins B and C, to promote cardiovascular and digestive health.

Berries – Loaded with antioxidants that prevent DNA damage.

Blue Green Algae -Plant protein, detoxifier, brain activator, mineralizing, alkalizing.

Coconut water – Very hydrating.

Maca – Adaptogen, hormone balancer, metabolism booster, energizer.

Hemp seeds – Energy enhancing, brain activator, immunity boost, nourishing to skin and hair.

Raw cacao nibs – Joy promoter, aphrodisiac, metabolism booster, mood-boosting, nervous-system supporting.
