Here at The Moment HQ, we’re constantly on the hunt for the best organic pantry items because good (nutritious and delicious) food starts with good ingredients. When we discovered Renew Juicery’s pantry items, we were over-the-moon excited because these are the same medicinal herbs and superfoods that Brooke Rewa, founder of Renew, uses in her super healthy juices. Can you say dream come true?
Rewa told us everything about her life-changing juicing journey, so we were excited to delve deeper into the special ingredients that go into those incredible juices. The Renew panty line launched in October as a result of constant buzz from Renew’s customers, who wanted to purchase the ingredients for their own pantries. The first product that people started requesting was the local raw honey that was added to the Renew almond mylks. One of Rewa’s closest customers pulled her aside and questioned her about the source of the honey, which was the initial spark for the entire pantry line.
Once the honey came out, people started asking for more ingredients, such as the Bee Pollen and Astragalus Root. Since there aren’t many place that sell these products, Rewa started selling them from the sources that she was buying them from for her own company. It took off from there, because people started to notice and feel the difference with their energy, skin, and overall health when using these superfood additives. For Rewa, seeing her customer’s health sky rocket is continuously the most rewarding part.
Rewa’s goal with Renew is to provide people with the tools necessary to allow them to make the best food choices in order to feel their healthiest. It’s about feeling empowered to take control of their own health. These ingredients greatly impacted Rewa’s own health (inside and out), which was how Renew Juicery was formed, and now she’s sharing her secrets with the world.
We couldn’t leave without asking Rewa about the specifics of these amazing products. She recommended we try Coconut Manna, Pearl Powder, Bee Pollen and Astragalus Root
Coconut Manna is coconut meat, dehydrated and turned into a butter. Coconut oil is great, but it’s more processed than this version. Coconut Manna provides more fiber, vitamins, and healthy fat. We’re completely in love. But, wait… should we be putting fats in our foods? The answer is a resounding yes! Healthy fat is really good for you. The more healthy fat in your diet, the better. Fat is a beauty food and it nourishes your skin and cells. Healthy fats bind to toxins in the body and flushes them out. They also boost metabolism, and our bodies won’t release excess pounds without eating it- plus, it tastes like frosting! So yes, add more healthy fats to your diet, stat!
Her favorite, healthy fat-filled smoothie recipe? We got that too.
Brooke’s Beauty Smoothie
- Full avocado (another great source of healthy fat)
- One giant spoonful of coconut manna
- Astragalus root
- Half banana
- Almond mylk or coconut water
- Top with bee pollen
Pearl Powder is exactly what you are already imagining it to be, tiny pearls crushed into a finely ground powder. It can be used topically as a paste to help with dark spots on the skin, and it has been proven to increase collagen production. Add a sprinkle to your morning smoothie or nightly tonic as it also makes a huge impact on skin health when ingested.
Bee Pollen is made up of little granules that are super rich in vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, carotenoids, and bioflavonoids. These tiny granules help fight infections, ease inflammation, lower cholesterol levels, and are considered a mineral-rich complete protein. Toss into cereals, top smoothies or yogurt, blend into acai bowls, the options are endless and the taste is sweet, but not over the top.
Astragalus Root is a herb root that is known for its cell regenerative properties. It helps fight aging, memory loss, hair loss, and wrinkles…and Rewa can’t stop singing its praises. This is why she recommends putting it on absolutely everything. It’s also immune boosting, energy boosting, and it is an adaptagen; If your energy is really depleted, it will reinvigorate you, and if you are super anxious, it will calm you. It’s a total miracle product. Rewa gave us one of the best ways to use the herb root.
