The Unofficial Guide to Holiday Shopping Hotspots

Ok… we won’t drop the ‘holiday shopping’ bomb on you just yet (Halloween literally just happened). Buuut there are some REALLY awesome wellness spots that are opening up around New York City that may or may not be great places to look for gifts (either for yourself or for a friend). So here it is, our ‘unofficial’ list of holiday shopping hotspots.

_____

Clean Market

Location: 240 E 54th St

Founder: Lily Kunin of Clean Food Dirty City

Best purchases: A cry0 session to share with a friend, The Nue Co Defense Drops, and CAP Beauty’s Coconut Butters.

We just co-hosted an event at Clean Market with Lily and the cool women behind Yumi organic baby food. There were cryotherapy facials, an infrared sauna, a smoothie bar, and walls stacked with Lily’s favorite wellness products (many of which we’ve covered here on our site- hey Bee Keeper’s Naturals!) They also offer NutriDrips which Lily swears by; We haven’t been brave enough to try it yet, but friends have said amazing things. This is the midtown haven to grab a good smoothie on the go, pick up a last minute gift, or spend some serious down time detoxing and relaxing with a friend.

The Goods Mart

Location: 189 Lafayette

Founder: Rachel Krupa

Best purchases: Fresh baked cookies from Things She Bakes, cosmetically challenged fruit + veg (imperfect but still delicious), and an organic slushy.

We’ve been so patiently waiting for The Goods Mart to open up on the east coast- There’s already one in Los Angeles. Rachel’s concept is to provide a better for you, stop-and-go style convenience store. The sight of Smart Food bags and Lays chips are replaced with wall-to-wall Siete chips, fresh fruit, and apple cider vinegar. They even carry fresh baked local goods from vendors like Things She Bakes. It’s a great spot to pick up some extra snacks on your way to that holiday party. And tips go to charity 🙂

Follain

Location: 92 Greenwich Avenue

Founder: Tara Foley

Best purchases: The Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask, Osea X Follain Lavender Bath Salts, and a bottle of Vintner’s Daughter.

We’ve been teased for years with NYC Follain pop-up after Follain pop-up, but FINALLY! This one’s here to stay. Tara just opened the spot last week, and it totally fulfills all of your clean beauty dreams. Products are organized by kind and skin type, not by brand, so it makes it easy to shop for exactly what you need for exactly who you need it for.

Bonberi Bodega

Location: 384 Bleecker St

Founder: Nicole Berrie

Best purchases: Brightland Olive Oil, fresh Fleurotica flowers, and the quinoa bibimbap for the road.

All of the little holiday essential you need can be found at the Bonberi Bodega pop-up. There’s food prep must-haves like all-natural sprinkles and Brightland olive oil, earth friendly toothpastes and toilet paper to stock up on for your guests, and healthy Bonberi approved meals to keep you sustained as you get all of the decorating, wrapping, and cooking under control. Don’t forget, Nicole also keeps a healthy stock of her clean beauty and wellness favorites like Golde turmeric powder, the Tata Harper Lip Treatment, and other small shopping favorites.
